In brief: VICTORY!!! Feminist Texan and reproductive justice activist/writer Andrea Grimes is back on the show to break down the Whole Woman’s Health win at the Supreme Court. We talk about the decision (let’s hear it for Justice Breyer!), how it felt that day, and the ongoing fight to bring reproductive healthcare to everyone in her state. Spoiler: this win didn’t automatically fix things.
Also on the show, Susan Frietsche, Senior Staff Attorney at the Women’s Law Project, talks about the situation in Pennsylvania and how it relates to the WWH case. WLP contributed a brief to the WWH case that pushes back on the notion that TRAP laws benefit anyone’s health and that the Kermit Gosnell case in any way “proves” the need for abortion restrictions. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Note: This show is available to stream and download for free so it can be accessible for everyone. If you’re able, consider becoming a supporter for as little as $1/month at PATREON or making a one-time donation through PAYPAL. Thank you!
