In brief: I am pleased to bring you two of my favorite women in this episode. Jacki Schechner and Katie Hnida’s credentials speak for themselves and they’re here to analyze the election, rape culture, and other MWM-driven tropes.
Note: This show is available to stream and download for free so it can be accessible for everyone. If you’re able, consider becoming a supporter for as little as $1/month at PATREON or making a one-time donation through PAYPAL. Thank you!
So, it seems Mich Albums heard about the hoopla around his, well, I’ll be generous and say “poorly constructed” comments re: the FSU rape survivor. I played his retort in all its smarminess and my response before diving into the NFL’s unfortunate first “Woman’s Summit.” Spoiler: domestic/intimate partner violence wasn’t on the schedule.
Katie and I do some Superbowl preview and talk the NFL’s DV/IPV problem as well as her contribution to my Albom take-down at The Establishment. Jacki lends her years of political coverage to the election through the Iowa Caucus — still very relevant a few weeks later.
