Host Caroline Modarressy-Tehrani was kind enough to invite me on to discuss today’s sham hearings on Planned Parenthood — an organization who is already continually investigated by one Congressional committee or another. She asked the panel about the repeated mansplaining/interrupting of CEO Cecile Richards, who is most affected by threats to defund and attempts to delegitimize PP, and about our own experiences with this country’s biggest provider of reproductive healthcare.
I talked about one of the two times Planned Parenthood saved my life and gave the GOP a history lesson on Title X right before delivering the bad news that 3/4 Americans supports public funding for not just PP, but SPECIFICALLY abortion care. So, maybe they can stop grandstanding for essentially no one and do their jobs instead of, say, watching the Child Nutrition Act expire tomorrow.
