Overview:
This panel was hard. I spent the previous evening crying for my friends in Texas and for the millions and millions that this heartless decision from the Fifth Circuit injures. I’ve spent so much time in Texas, writing about the activists, organizing and fundraising with them, and amplifying their stories over the past two years that I took this very personally.
I’m beyond humbled to be in the company of the other panelists — women I’m honored to call friends and colleagues. Most of us hadn’t slept and were fighting outrage fatigue, but everyone got up and got back to work. That tireless ability to keep going, keep fighting, never give up is why I’m so in love with Texas.
